Job Description
We are seeking a reliable Medical Assistant to perform clinical and office duties. The MA will work directly with healthcare staff to collect test samples, explain medical procedures to patients and assist in basic exams. Will also perform X-Ray Tech duties such as diagnostic radiographic services. Prepare patients and facilities for exams / procedures. Complete injections, blood draws, EKG tests, and other tests as directed. Administer medications under the supervision of the Physician or PA. Ensure an effective and efficient flow of patients. Accurately take, record and vital signs. Act as a liaison with the patient and physician. Assist with discharge instructions and patient education. Perform diagnostic radiographic services allowed under a Full X-Ray Technician license. Position patients and adjust settings to limit radiation exposure while producing high-quality diagnostic images. Coordinate dosimeter collection and radiation exposure metrics. Answer incoming phone calls, maintain health & radiology records, update patient files. Follow up with patient in accordance with physician direction. Schedule, reschedule, cancel, confirm appointments. Verify medical coverage for patient eligibility.
