Job Description

FMC Health and BSA CareXpress are seeking a PRN X-Ray Technologist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while providing a safe, professional, and compassionate experience for every patient. X-Ray Technicians play an important role in supporting providers with timely imaging services and ensuring accurate results that help guide diagnosis and treatment. Key Responsibilities Operate imaging equipment and perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including x-rays Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot imaging equipment Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff to support patient care Follow all safety, radiation protection, and infection control protocols Qualifications Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program Current X-Ray Technician certification or state licensure Strong knowledge of anatomy and positioning techniques Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks Physical ability to assist and position patients as needed Experience with Athena EMR is a plus About FMC Health and BSA CareXpress FMC Health is a locally owned healthcare management organization serving Amarillo, Canyon, and the Texas Panhandle.
