Job Summary and Qualifications Performs Radiologic Procedures at a technical level which does not require supervision and assumes the responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Maintains an efficient, safe and pleasant work environment. Assist the imaging Leadership, affiliated Physicians and Radiologist in providing quality, efficient care for patients. Develop and supervise a quality improvement program. To monitor Imaging aspects of care in the Medical Imaging Facility. This includes but not limited to Diagnostic imaging with X-Ray, quality control, transportation, radiation safety support and other related duties. The Lead Technologist will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to all ages of patients including pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. Other duties as assigned. Demonstrates appropriate skills for assigned area/task. Familiarizes self with the appropriate procedure before beginning the case. Assists in emergency situations. Ensures that all pertinent data is communicated to the Circulating Nurse and the physician.
