Opening Soon in Calallen - Trust Now Urgent Care Why Not Join Our Urgent Care Team We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and patient-focused X-Ray Technologist / Medical Assistant to join our urgent care team. This is a dual-role position ideal for an X-Ray Technologist who enjoys working directly with patients and being an active part of the entire clinical team. In addition to performing diagnostic X-rays, you will assist with Medical Assistant duties and help keep patients moving efficiently through the clinic. We are looking for someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, works well with providers and coworkers, and understands that excellent urgent care requires teamwork. What You'll DoX-Ray Responsibilities Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by providers Position patients appropriately and obtain high-quality diagnostic images Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles Maintain required imaging documentation and records Ensure X-ray equipment and imaging areas are properly maintained Perform routine quality-control procedures as assigned Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable Texas radiation requirements Medical Assistant & Clinical Responsibilities When not performing X-rays, you will work alongside our clinical team and assist with Medical Assistant duties, including: Rooming and preparing patients for examination Obtaining and documenting vital signs and medical histories Assisting providers during examinations and procedures Performing EKGs Collecting specimens Performing point-of-care testing, including strep, flu, COVID, urinalysis, glucose, and other testing as applicable Performing phlebotomy and blood draws Assisting with wound care, splinting, and other urgent care procedures Preparing examination rooms between patients Cleaning and disinfecting clinical equipment Stocking clinical supplies and monitoring inventory Documenting appropriately in the electronic medical record Assisting with patient discharge and follow-up instructions Supporting front-office or other clinic functions when needed to maintain efficient patient flow What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who doesn't want to sit and wait for the next X-ray . Qualifications:
