Know Your Team:
Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing functions under the direct supervision of a registered and licensed Radiologic Technologist. In addition to positioning patients and radiographic exams, the aide is also responsible for preparing exam rooms, equipment, supplies and contrast medications. Responsible for working in compliance according to the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology. Responsible for positioning patients for technical procedures as authorized under the direction of a licensed Radiologic Technologist. In addition, performs basic patient care tech responsibilities. Demonstrates a basic understanding of the terminology, processes and procedures, regulations relating to Diagnostic Imaging. Collects patient data under the direction of licensed personnel.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must be enrolled in an accredited radiography program with an anticipated completion date as outlined in the radiography program. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
