Duties Operate radiologic imaging equipment including MRI and X-ray procedures with precision and safety. Position patients correctly using anatomical knowledge and proper techniques to ensure optimal image quality while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and answering questions to reduce anxiety and promote cooperation. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety. Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately by documenting procedures, patient information, and imaging results efficiently. Utilize Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for storing, retrieving, and sharing medical images seamlessly across departments. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams during interventional radiology procedures and diagnostic imaging to provide comprehensive patient care. Maintain and operate sophisticated medical imaging equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and hospital standards. Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards by monitoring exposure levels and utilizing protective measures diligently. Provide compassionate patient care throughout the imaging process, demonstrating excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Requirements Proven experience operating radiologic imaging equipment such as MRI and X-ray. Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiologic principles essential for accurate imaging. Certification or licensure in radiologic technology (e.g., ARRT or equivalent), with additional credentials in MRI preferred. Ability to perform precise positioning techniques for various diagnostic procedures while ensuring patient comfort. Basic life support (BLS) certification required to respond effectively in emergency situations. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems and PACS for efficient workflow documentation. Excellent understanding of radiation safety practices and aseptic techniques to uphold safety standards at all times. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a hospital environment.
