X-Ray Technologist OrthoMidland Midland, TX Job Details Full-time $22 - $27 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Employee discount Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Teamwork X-Ray Certification ARRT (R) Certification Attention to detail Patient interaction Empathy Full Job Description The ideal candidate is a skilled, patient-focused radiologic technologist with strong orthopedic imaging expertise and a commitment to safety, radiation protection (ALARA principles), accuracy, and collaboration in a fast-paced clinic environment. Core Qualifications Active ARRT(R) certification and state licensure . Prior experience in orthopedic or musculoskeletal imaging strongly preferred but willing to train the right candidate. Demonstrated proficiency with digital radiography systems and PACS . Technical & Clinical Excellence Expert in performing high-quality diagnostic X-rays of bones and joints , including complex and specialty orthopedic views. Strong knowledge of patient positioning, immobilization techniques, and shielding Consistent adherence to radiation safety and ALARA principles . Ability to troubleshoot equipment , ensure image quality, and maintain imaging systems as needed. Patient-Centered Care Empathetic and professional when assisting patients with limited mobility, pain, or acute injuries . Skilled at explaining procedures to adults and children clearly to reduce patient anxiety. Maintains patient dignity, comfort, applying shielding, assist with immobilization devices and ensure patient safety at all times. Team & Communication Skills Works seamlessly with orthopedic surgeons, mid-level providers, and clinical staff to support diagnosis and treatment decisions. Communicates effectively in both clinical and administrative interactions. Reliable, accountable, and able to manage workflow efficiently in a clinic setting. Professional & Physical Readiness Comfortable with standing, walking, bending, and assisting with patient transfers Adaptable to clinic flow, including early start times or schedule flexibility as needed. Detail-oriented with strong documentation and compliant with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for radiation safety and patient care.
