Job Description

Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Contract Step into a vital healthcare role supporting interventional radiology services. This contract position leverages your expertise in interventional radiology technology to deliver quality imaging and patient care within a dynamic medical environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current ARRT certification (Radiologic Technology) with Interventional Radiology (IR) endorsement required Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an IR Tech in a hospital or clinical setting Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography, and other imaging equipment Knowledge of sterile techniques and ability to assist during intricate IR procedures Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist radiologists and physicians in performing interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times Prepare and operate imaging equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Collaborate with medical staff to assess and respond to patients' needs throughout imaging procedures Maintain accurate documentation and update patient records as required Monitor and maintain equipment, reporting malfunctions or concerns promptly Adhere to infection control protocols and compliance standards Provide support for post-procedure care and education to patients and families
