Job Description

Produce a variety of high-quality radiographs through proper positioning and technique Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report dangerous department or equipment conditions to the appropriate personnel; communicate equipment malfunctions and low inventory levels to the Operations Manager Utilize all assigned functions of the Radiology Information Computer System (RIGS); utilize the hospital computer system to enter radiology and laboratory orders, charges, and/or credits Practice radiation safety in accordance with department policies Follow NRC and State regulations for radiation safety and keep exposure "ALARA" Confirm patient identity prior to procedure via verbal communication on outpatients and/or identification bands on inpatients Perform procedures as the schedule requires and rotate calls as needed Attend required hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-services Demonstrate a commitment to flexible work scheduling when necessary to ensure patient care Reports to: Mammography Lead / Director. May be assigned work from the Radiologists, the Administrative Director and other

Successful completion of an accredited Radiologist Technology program

Experience:
Prior experience as a Registered Technologist is preferred, but will consider new graduates Must be ARRT registered Certified in Mammography within 12 months of date of hire BLS required Technical/other training or better in General Studies.
