This is a PRN position for an X-ray Technician to provide flexible, as-needed radiologic services. The technician will perform high-quality x-ray procedures on patients, following physicians' orders, while ensuring safety and comfort. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and providing compassionate patient care, especially for those with mobility challenges. The role requires adaptability to varying schedules and the ability to respond promptly to staffing needs.

Responsibilities:

Verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders prior to conducting x-ray procedures. Operate x-ray equipment to produce clear radiographic images according to written instructions. Explain procedures to patients and address any questions or concerns. Properly position patients, including lifting or assisting those with limited mobility. Use protective shielding to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff. Ensure high-quality images are obtained to reduce repeat exposures. Maintain and service x-ray equipment regularly, reporting any malfunctions. Keep accurate records of all procedures performed. Monitor supplies and ensure all rooms are clean and well-organized. Attend mandatory training sessions and staff meetings as scheduled.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, Radiology, or related field. Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Valid state licensure for radiologic technology. Proven experience as an X-ray Technician preferred but not required; willingness to learn on the job is acceptable. Ability to lift or move patients safely and stand for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills with patients and team members. Compassionate attitude focused on patient care.
