3009175904-2 Apply for this job now Job Description HCA Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare services, is seeking a CT and Radiology Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high-quality CT and diagnostic radiologic procedures, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other team members while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform high-quality CT and general radiographic exams according to physician orders and department protocols Verify patient identity, review clinical history, and screen for contraindications to CT and contrast media Explain procedures to patients, address questions, and ensure comfort, dignity, and emotional support throughout the exam Position patients accurately and safely to obtain optimal diagnostic images while minimizing radiation dose (ALARA) Operate CT scanners, X-ray equipment, injectors, and related imaging technology safely and effectively Administer IV contrast agents per protocol, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and respond appropriately Review images for diagnostic quality and completeness before releasing studies to radiologists for interpretation Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and
PACS/RIS
systems Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members to coordinate patient care and prioritize urgent exams Follow all radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff Assist with trauma, emergency, and urgent imaging needs, adapting to rapidly changing clinical priorities Support equipment quality control processes, report malfunctions, and assist with basic troubleshooting Participate in ongoing training, competency assessments, and process improvement initiatives within the imaging department Demonstrate HCA Healthcare values of compassion, teamwork, integrity, and patient-centered care in all interactions Required Skills Computed tomography (CT) imaging General diagnostic radiography Operation of CT and X-ray equipment PACS and RIS/HIS systems Radiation safety and ALARA principles Patient positioning and immobilization IV contrast administration and monitoring Exam protocol selection and optimization Cross-sectional anatomy and pathology recognition Infection prevention and control Emergency response in clinical setting HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Clinical documentation and EMR use Communication with physicians and nursing staff Time management in acute care environment
