Job Description

Central Vermont Medical Center, part of the illustrious University of Vermont Health Network, is seeking a dedicated X-Ray/MRI Technologist to join our team. Our facility is committed to community wellness and delivering patient-centered care. As an X-Ray/MRI Technologist, you will play a crucial role in our diagnostics team, responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce images that assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patient conditions. This position requires precision, empathy, and a robust knowledge of radiological safety and procedure. Responsibilities Operate X-ray and MRI machines to capture diagnostic images as per the physician's orders. Adjust and maintain imaging equipment. Precisely follow protocols to ensure quality of images. Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and positioning patients to capture clear diagnostic images. Implement radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff. Collaborate with radiologists to determine the need for additional tests. Keep accurate patient records and maintain confidentiality. Required Skills Proficient in operating radiological imaging equipment including X-ray and MRI machines. Strong understanding of radiological safety and protection practices. Excellent patient management skills to ensure comfort and safety during procedures. Detail-oriented in following imaging procedures and protocols. Capability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on imaging equipment.
