Job Description
Mammography Technologist, Full-Time Help save lives through early detection-while living and working on the Washington Coast. Ocean Beach Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with a strong interest or experience in Mammography to join our close-knit imaging team. If you're passionate about women's health, patient-centered care, and meaningful work, this role is for you. Located on the scenic Long Beach Peninsula , Ocean Beach Health offers the rare opportunity to combine impactful healthcare work with a relaxed coastal lifestyle-just a few hours from Portland and Seattle and minutes from the Pacific Ocean. Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams Educate and support patients through often stressful or emotional appointments Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the exam process Collaborate closely with radiologists and providers to deliver accurate, timely results Maintain compliance with radiation safety and quality standards Prepare and assist patients for mammography and other imaging procedures as assigned Key Responsibilities Position patients accurately for mammographic imaging Select appropriate technical factors to produce optimal images Operate mammography and radiologic imaging equipment safely and effectively Provide radiation protection in accordance with safety standards Maintain accurate documentation and patient records Practice infection control and sterile techniques Support a culture of patient-centered care, safety, and teamwork Participate in on-call coverage for modalities in which you are trained, as needed Pursue continuing education and complete required training on time Qualifications ARRT certification required (Mammography certification preferred or willingness to obtain) Washington State Radiologic Technologist license in good standing Current CPR certification Commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care Strong communication and teamwork skills Ready to Make a Difference?
