GED Radiology Certification Full Job Description Role Overview:

Provide high-quality mammography services in accordance with physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include preparing equipment and rooms, performing diagnostic imaging, developing films, and evaluating image quality. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all regulations such as

MQSA/ACR.

Ensure accurate input of patient information into computer systems and deliver excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff. Promote patient-focused care by explaining procedures and addressing concerns. Key duties involve operating radiological equipment, verifying procedures, managing contrast agents, and maintaining radiation safety standards to minimize exposure. Observe patient conditions during procedures, identify allergies, and respond rapidly to contrast reactions or emergencies. Maintain a clean, organized radiology environment and participate in safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance activities. Collaborate effectively with team members and adapt to shift rotations, including specialty procedures and standby duties.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification required. Must possess or be trained in Mammography Technologist certification and ARRT-M registration. Additional skills include strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.

Preferred:

One year of mammography experience.
