Job Description

Description Mammography Technologist (Per Diem

•Day Shift) Kearney Breast Center PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center |Vancouver, WA $42.83

•$63.72/hr + 15% differential in lieu of benefits What If Flexibility Didn't Mean Sacrificing Meaningful Work? Some imaging jobs give you flexibility. Others give you the opportunity to truly make a difference in a patient's day. This role offers both. At the Kearney Breast Center, you'll spend your day helping women navigate everything from routine screenings to diagnostic exams and biopsies. One patient arrives for her annual mammogram, checking a task off her list. The next arrives carrying weeks of worry and questions. Your calm presence, technical expertise, and ability to make people feel comfortable can change the entire experience. Your expertise stays active here. Rather than spending every day performing routine screenings, you'll see a diverse mix of screening mammograms, diagnostic exams, and stereotactic biopsy procedures. It's the kind of breast imaging role that keeps both your technical skills and clinical judgment sharp. And when your shift ends, your time is your own. With a minimum commitment of just four shifts per month, this Per Diem Mammography Technologist opportunity offers the flexibility many imaging professionals wish they had found years ago. Whether you're looking for extra income, greater schedule control, a gradual transition toward retirement, or a role that fits alongside other commitments, this position gives you room to build the life you want without stepping away from the work you love. At PeaceHealth, you'll work alongside caregivers who understand something important: if we expect people to care for patients well, we must care for our caregivers, too. As a person-first, values-driven, highly trusted organization , PeaceHealth has built a culture where respect, compassion, and teamwork aren't posters on a wall. They're part of everyday practice. Picture Your Day You arrive at a dedicated breast center where quality matters. You review prior studies and patient history before the first appointment. Throughout the day, you'll perform screening mammograms, diagnostic mammography exams, and assist with breast biopsy procedures while working with experienced physicians and a team focused on exceptional patient care. You'll have access to specialized breast imaging technology, including: Three Hologic Mammography Systems One Stereotactic Unit You'll leave knowing your work helped provide answers, reassurance, and potentially life-changing early detection. Why Kearney Feels Different What makes Kearney memorable isn't just the technology or the case mix. It's the relationships. Women throughout Southwest Washington return year after year because they've come to trust the care they receive here. The Kearney Breast Center supports patients through far more than routine screening, connecting breast imaging with radiologists, breast surgeons, oncologists, plastic surgeons, and nurse navigators when additional care is needed. As a Mammography Technologist, you're not simply performing exams. You're often the familiar face patients hope to see again, whether they're coming in for an annual mammogram, a diagnostic workup, or a procedure that requires a little extra reassurance. Some patients leave relieved. Others leave with a plan and a team around them. Either way, you'll know your work mattered. Why You'll Love This Role Flexible per diem scheduling Diverse breast imaging case mix including screenings, diagnostics, and biopsies Work in a dedicated breast center where your mammography expertise is valued Earn $42.83
