Job Description

Responsibilities/Duties:
Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms following physician orders and regulatory guidelines. Ensure high-quality imaging while minimizing patient exposure to radiation. Position patients correctly and comfortably for accurate imaging. Explain procedures to patients, address concerns, and ensure a positive patient experience. Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and image archiving. Monitor and maintain mammography equipment, reporting malfunctions or maintenance needs. Adhere to safety protocols, HIPAA, and infection control policies. Assist radiologists with special procedures, such as stereotactic biopsies or breast ultrasounds, if applicable. Stay current with continuing education and certification requirements.
Education/Experience:
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree One year of previous mammography experience
Required:
Associate's Degree from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology State of WI Radiographer License ARRT Certification Current CPR certification or obtained within the first 60 days

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:
Occasionally:
Adjusting or moving objects up to 10 pounds in all directions. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly as needed
Constantly:
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Operating machinery and /or power tools.
