1 Description American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of registered MRI experience and ARRT (MR) certification for weekend coverage shifts at a Level 1 Trauma Center teaching hospital. Details Level 1 Trauma Center and major teaching hospital setting MRI department equipped with one Philips scanner Average caseload of 20-25 patients per 24 hours across the department, not per tech Weekend coverage required: 16 hours per day Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM Remaining 8 hours scheduled as an evening shift (2:30 PM-11:00 PM) on a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday No call requirement No floating requirement Uses Cerner and Fuji Synapse charting systems Requirements Minimum 2 years experience as a registered MRI technologist required BLS and ARRT (MR) certification required License required if applicable Experience required in Adult Acute Care, Adult ICU, Adult Outpatient, and ER/Trauma settings MRI procedure experience required in Abdomen and MRCP imaging IV start skills required PACS and contrast experience preferred Never works alone; supported by department team Additional Information First-time travelers accepted if MRI registered with 2 years of experience Caribbean Blue scrub color required Free parking provided for travelers Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1-March 31) unless medically exempt with documentation COVID vaccine not required 100-mile radius rule applies; candidates living 75-99 miles away considered on a case-by-case basis for facility approval No RTO restrictions Permanent employees cannot return as travelers within 2 years of their last permanent work date
