Radiology Technologist

Category Imaging - X-ray Job Type Contract Provide expert diagnostic imaging in a bustling multi-room radiology department serving a diverse patient population. This contract position is based in Follansbee, WV, offering a structured schedule of four 10-hour shifts covering steady afternoon and midnight hours, with every other weekend at midnight. The role demands flexibility to float between general radiology, fluoroscopy, and operating room (OR) settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general X-ray studies, portable imaging, fluoroscopy cases (orthopedics and gastrointestinal), and support OR imaging including cystoscopy, orthopedic, and GI procedures. Manage an average daily volume of approximately 110 imaging studies. Float efficiently within a department equipped with 4 rooms: 3 general X-ray, 1 fluoroscopy, 2 portable units, and 3 C-Arms. Use EMR system Community Works and PACS platforms Intellirad/Intelliconnect. Collaborate with Imaging Director, Manager, and Lead Techs to ensure seamless operations, including working as the sole technologist during overnight hours. Participate in holiday rotations as requested and maintain professional appearance with clean scrubs (any color accepted).

Qualifications and Required Certifications:

Active WV X-ray License and

WV CARES

certification (must be obtained prior to start). ARRT certification and current Basic Life Support (BLS) credential. Ability to competently perform imaging in all areas—General Xray, Portables, OR, and Fluoro. Must have a valid, unexpired driver's license within a 50-mile radius of Follansbee, WV. Licensing hits must be disclosed at submission. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Work Schedule:

Four 10-hour shifts. Steady afternoon and midnight shifts, every other weekend midnight. No call or standby responsibilities.
