Recreational Therapist (RECT)

Location:

Multiple Facilities Across California - Correctional Facility We are seeking a dedicated Recreational Therapist to join our team in a correctional healthcare setting. You will provide therapeutic recreation services that support rehabilitation, promote positive use of leisure time, and enhance patients' social, functional, and coping skills.

What You'll Do:

Plan, develop, and implement individualized recreation therapy programs Facilitate patient social interaction, physical activity, and coping strategies Conduct evaluations of activities of daily living, communication skills, and behavioral interventions Collaborate with clinical and custodial staff in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) meetings Support reintegration into the general population or other levels of care

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 12 months of recent experience in a similar setting within the last 3 years (internships not included) Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation Completion of supervised fieldwork approved by NCTRC or CBRPC Valid certifications/licenses as required Strong communication and teamwork skills

From $70.00 per hour
