Job Summary- Join our dedicated team as an Activities Aide with Clinical Support, where you'll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents through engaging, meaningful activities tailored to their individual needs. This unique position combines compassionate clinical support and creativity to foster a dynamic and supportive environment for our resident population. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being while building strong resident rapport and encouraging active participation in all activity programs. Whether coordinating resident events or providing personalized care, you'll be responsible for helping to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that celebrates each resident's journey at Lemon Grove Care & Rehab. Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and execute engaging recreational activities and resident events that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity. Collaborate with Activity Director and direct care teams to support residents' clinical needs through tailored activity programs, including memory care and dementia specific interventions. Assist in developing and implementing therapeutic programs aligned with residents individual care plans. Foster strong relationships with residents by building rapport, understanding their preferences, and encouraging participation in activities that enhance their quality of life. Follow set schedules for activities per monthly calendar set in place by Activities Director Ensure timely communication with residents, families, and other team members. Utilize Microsoft Office tools to document resident participation, track program outcomes, and prepare reports for Activities Director. Support residents overall well being by providing compassionate clinical assistance during activities and assisting with daily routines as needed. Requirements- Current CNA license in California is required. Prior CNA experience working with seniors in SNF, assisted living facilities or nursing homes is essential. Prior experience working in the Activities Department in a SNF, assisted living facility, or nursing home is highly preferred. Demonstrate expertise in recreational therapy programs within long term care or home & community care settings. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care strategies, and working with geriatric patients is essential. Proven ability to build meaningful relationships with residents while maintaining professional boundaries. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate resident events and facilitate client communication with families and team members. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in senior living environments enhances your candidacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and scheduling management is advantageous. Must be able to fluently read, write, and understand English.
