In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing residents' quality of life by planning, coordinating, and executing engaging recreational activities tailored to their interests and needs. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will foster a lively, inclusive environment where residents feel valued, connected, and empowered. Duties Assist in planning and organizing a variety of recreational activities, including social events, outings, arts and crafts, music therapy, and memory care programs Coordinate resident events that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity while ensuring safety and accessibility Build strong rapport with residents through attentive communication and personalized activity planning that respects individual preferences and abilities Collaborate with team members to develop innovative programs that cater to diverse needs, including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and geriatrics Manage schedules for activities and ensure timely setup, execution, and cleanup of events Maintain accurate records of resident participation, feedback, and activity outcomes to continually improve program offerings Support caregiving staff by providing recreational therapy that complements overall resident care plans Experience Prior experience in event planning or recreational therapy within assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of senior care practices, including Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, memory support, and geriatric health issues Proven ability to work effectively with seniors and individuals with disabilities in a compassionate manner Strong communication skills for engaging residents, families, and team members clearly and empathetically Experience developing programs tailored to aging issues counseling and memory care needs is advantageous Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for record keeping and scheduling management Long-term care experience or home & community care background is beneficial for understanding resident needs comprehensively Join us to create joyful moments that enrich our residents' lives!
