Responsibilities Develop and implement diverse activity programs tailored to the interests and needs of residents, including memory care and dementia-specific activities. Coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, recreational therapy sessions, and social gatherings to promote community engagement. Build strong rapport with residents through personalized interaction, active listening, and empathetic communication. Collaborate with caregiving staff and team members to ensure activities align with individual care plans and health considerations. Manage scheduling of activities efficiently to maximize participation and resource utilization. Maintain accurate records of resident participation, feedback, and activity outcomes for ongoing program improvement. Communicate effectively with residents' families and healthcare professionals regarding activity participation and progress. Requirements Proven experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes. Strong knowledge of geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory support strategies. Familiarity with long-term care environments, home & community care services, and working with individuals with disabilities. Excellent communication skills to engage residents with diverse needs and backgrounds. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and scheduling purposes. Demonstrated ability to develop innovative programs that foster socialization, mental stimulation, and physical activity among seniors. Previous experience working with geriatric patients or in senior living facilities is highly preferred. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive, energetic attitude focused on resident well-being.
