In this vital role, you will help the Activity Director in Mentoring , coordinating, and facilitating engaging creative Mentorship classes and life enriching daily activities, tailored to the interests and needs of each Individual. Your enthusiasm and creativity will foster a lively community atmosphere, promote social interaction, and support overall well-being. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of our Individuals through dynamic Mentoring and heartfelt engagement. Part-Time Work days will be 3 to 4 days a week M-F sometimes Saturday if there is a special event. Duties Assist and or lead a variety of Mentorship classes for two Individuals that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, Community Intervention and physical activity for Individuals with diverse needs. Be a positive Mentor to each Individual and assist with reaching goals on IPP Collaborate with care teams to develop personalized activity plans that align with individual preferences, medical conditions, and cognitive abilities. Facilitate special events such as birthday celebrations, holiday parties, and themed programs to foster community spirit. Maintain accurate records of Individual's participation in activities and provide feedback to care staff regarding Individuals interests and progress. Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure timely execution of planned programs while adapting to changing Individuals needs. Support Individual's emotional well-being by offering companionship, Mentoring on Behavioral issues, and encouraging social interaction within the community. Requirements Prior experience in Mental Health field and or with Adults with disabilities, assisted living facilities, or in a group home setting. Strong background in event planning, recreational therapy, or working with individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of CPI, Mental Health Illnesses, ABA Training Excellent communication skills to effectively engage Individuals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to assist Individuals with managing activity schedules efficiently. Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve Individuals quality of life through engaging Mentor classes, community service and life enriching activities. Experience in home & community care or social work related to Behavioral issues is advantageous. Join us in creating a vibrant community where every day is filled with meaningful moments!
