Assistant Therapeutic Recreation Director

We currently have an opening for an Assistant Therapeutic Recreation Director to join our dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team. The primary purpose of this position is to assist in planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Therapeutic Recreation Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, established policies and procedures to assure that an on-going program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident/patient is maintained. A qualified candidate must possess a Therapeutic Recreation Certificate in the state of Connecticut or have completed the majority of the coursework necessary to be eligible for certification.
