St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Center in Westport is a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility specializing in care for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and dual diagnosis substance use disorders. St. Vincent's Medical Center is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network, and part of one of the largest providers of mental health services at several locations in Connecticut. Job Summary Develops and implements group therapy programming in accordance with the patient's treatment plan and goals. Works within the Department of Rehabilitation Services to provide direct clinical care to children, adolescents and adults. Job Responsibilities Provides direct patient care using group therapies specific to client's needs as indicated in the treatment plan. Conducts patient assessments and establishestreatment goals. Evaluates each patient's progress and the effectiveness of group therapies interventions. Provides patient with information about community resources to support their wellness and recovery. Participates in planning processes and clinical programming based on evidence based initiatives and best practices. Works closely with the attending psychiatrist and other members of the treatment team to initiateand implement treatment plans specific to the needs and goals of each patient. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Master's Degree in the Creative Arts Therapies (music, dance, art, and drama), Occupational, Therapeutic Recreation, or other related human services field. Licenses are preferred but not required. Minimum 1 year experience working in behavioral health (internships applicable). We take great care of careers.
