Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Director of Resident Programming to lead the development, implementation, and management of engaging activities and programs tailored to enhance the quality of life for our residents. Responsibilities Design, coordinate, and oversee a diverse calendar of resident-centered events, activities, and recreational programs that promote social engagement and cognitive health. Collaborate with staff, families, and external partners to develop personalized activity plans that meet individual resident preferences and abilities. Lead and supervise a team of activity coordinators and caregiving staff to ensure seamless execution of programs while fostering a positive team environment. Maintain detailed records of resident participation, feedback, and program outcomes to continuously improve offerings. Manage scheduling for resident activities and transportation, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for all residents, including those with dementia or other memory care needs. Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) as needed to support residents' independence and comfort during programming sessions. Coordinate special events such as holiday celebrations, community outings, and themed activities that enhance community spirit. Requirements Proven experience in event planning within senior living facilities, assisted living communities, nursing homes, or long-term care settings. Strong background in geriatrics, dementia care (including Alzheimer's care), memory care, or senior care programs. Knowledge of recreational therapy techniques and experience working with individuals with disabilities or aging issues. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage residents, families, staff, and external partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, scheduling, and communication purposes. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team toward shared goals. Familiarity with home & community care services and program development tailored to geriatric populations. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in schedule management and resident rapport building. $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
