Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant team as an Activities Coordinator and become a vital part of enhancing residents' lives through engaging, meaningful activities. In this dynamic role, you will design, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational programs tailored to the needs and interests of seniors, including those with memory care requirements. Your enthusiasm and creativity will foster a warm, inclusive environment where residents feel valued, connected, and inspired to participate actively in their community. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and execute diverse resident activities and events that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and physical well-being. Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their individual preferences, abilities, and care needs. Coordinate with staff members to ensure activities align with residents' health plans and safety protocols. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed during events to promote independence and comfort. Manage activity schedules efficiently, ensuring timely setup and cleanup for each event. Develop innovative programs that incorporate recreational therapy principles and cater to residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Communicate effectively with residents' families and team members about upcoming activities and resident participation. Requirements Proven experience in event planning or recreational programming within assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory support programs, and geriatrics. Familiarity with working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory care. Strong communication skills to engage residents meaningfully and coordinate with team members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office for scheduling, documentation, and program planning purposes. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating leadership qualities when needed. Experience in program development tailored to aging issues counseling or senior living facility operations is preferred. Embark on a rewarding career where your creativity meets compassion! Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
