Life Enrichment Director

MUST BE CERTIFIED

Duties Develop, plan, and execute a diverse calendar of recreational activities, social events, and therapeutic programs that promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being Collaborate with staff members, families, and community partners to create personalized enrichment plans for residents with varying needs Lead recreational therapy sessions focused on memory care, Alzheimer's care, dementia support, and senior care best practices Coordinate volunteer involvement and community outings to foster social connections beyond the facility Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed during programming sessions Manage scheduling of activities to ensure consistent engagement while accommodating individual preferences and abilities Monitor resident participation and satisfaction, adjusting programs to maximize enjoyment and therapeutic benefit Requirements Proven experience in event planning within assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings Strong background in senior care, memory care, Alzheimer's/dementia care, or recreational therapy Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities and those requiring specialized dementia support Excellent communication skills to engage residents effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Experience assisting with ADLs and providing compassionate caregiving support Familiarity with aging issues counseling, social work principles, and community care strategies Ability to manage schedules efficiently while maintaining flexibility for resident needs and program adjustments This role is perfect for someone who is energetic, compassionate, detail-oriented, and eager to create joyful experiences that enrich the lives of seniors. $45,606.77 - $54,924.27 per year
