Recreational Therapist - Memory Care Grand Villa of Ocala is a vibrant community dedicated to empowering seniors to live their lives to the fullest. We are seeking passionate and skilled Recreational Therapists with expertise in dementia care to join our team and make a positive impact on our residents' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized recreational therapy programs tailored to residents with dementia and other cognitive impairments Facilitate a variety of engaging activities that promote mental, physical, and emotional well-being Assess residents' needs and interests to create personalized activity plans Collaborate with care team members to ensure activities align with residents' health goals and safety protocols Monitor and document residents' participation and progress in activities Foster a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages social interaction and independence Educate staff and family members about the benefits of recreational therapy and ways to support residents' engagement

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience working with seniors, particularly those with dementia or memory impairments Strong knowledge of dementia care principles and therapeutic activity planning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to assess individual needs and adapt activities accordingly Compassionate, patient, and creative approach to engaging residents Certification in Recreational Therapy (preferred but not required) At Grand Villa of Ocala, we foster a culture of compassion, growth, and teamwork.
