Duties Develop, organize, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities and resident events that promote social engagement, cognitive health, and physical activity. Collaborate with team members to create personalized activity plans that meet individual resident preferences and care needs. Assist residents with daily activities (Activities of Daily Living - ADLs) such as mobility, dressing, and personal hygiene as needed during activities. Build strong rapport with residents through meaningful interactions, fostering a warm and welcoming environment. Coordinate with families and healthcare staff to ensure activities align with residents' health conditions, including memory care or dementia-related needs. Manage scheduling for activities and ensure timely setup, execution, and cleanup of events. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity outcomes to support care planning and regulatory compliance. Skills Proven experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or senior activity coordination within assisted living or nursing home settings. Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, geriatrics, and memory care best practices. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members. Ability to develop innovative programs tailored to diverse resident needs and interests. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special care requirements in long-term or home & community care environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and scheduling purposes. Exceptional interpersonal skills for building resident rapport and fostering a positive community atmosphere. Leadership qualities to assist in program development and team collaboration.
