Park Place Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and creative Activities Director to join our team full-time. The Activities Director will plan and oversee engaging programs that support the physical, social, emotional, and recreational needs of our residents. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and passionate about improving the quality of life of residents in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting. Responsibilities Develop and manage a comprehensive activities program based on residents' interests, abilities, and individual care plans Plan daily, weekly, and monthly recreational activities, special events, and community outings Create and maintain an organized monthly activities calendar Encourage resident participation and provide activities for residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities Coordinate group and one-on-one activities Supervise and support activities staff and volunteers Collaborate with nursing, social services, rehabilitation, dietary, and other departments Document resident participation and maintain required records Assist with resident assessments and care-plan meetings Manage departmental supplies and budget Build relationships with families, volunteers, and community organizations Ensure activities are conducted safely and in accordance with facility policies and applicable regulations Qualifications Previous activities experience in a nursing home, skilled nursing facility, assisted living community, or similar healthcare setting preferred Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred Activity Director certification is a plus Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills Creative, enthusiastic, and comfortable leading group activities Ability to work effectively with older adults, including residents with physical limitations or memory-related conditions Basic computer and documentation skills Must be dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team Schedule Full-time Day shift Occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required for special events If you are creative, compassionate, and committed to providing meaningful experiences for residents, we would love to hear from you.
