Life Enrichment Director Summary:
The Flourish Coordinator works with the Life Enrichment Director to provide appropriate activities for Galerie Management's residents who are enrolled into the Flourish Program. The Flourish Coordinator promotes resident well-being and satisfaction through performing activities and communicates with other departments to ensure all resident needs are met.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Design and lead engaging and meaningful activities that contribute to the health and wellbeing our residents who reside in Galerie Management's memory care or any assisted living resident who participates in Galerie's Flourish program Enhance the quality of life of residents through activities and social engagement Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, their family members, and co-workers Take photos and submit to Marketing following various activities Under the leadership of immediate supervisor, assists with and supports the networking actions for retaining a volunteer base, maintaining a relationship with local businesses, organizations and schools Monitor resident activity, functional status, psychosocial status, reporting any resident change in condition to the appropriate designee Alert resident status changes and communicate these changes to Life Enrichment Director and Wellness Director Maintain a safe and clean environment for all activities Foster a supportive environment for residents and their families May provide transportation to local medical facilities, shopping, church, voting, outings, and miscellaneous errands with the understanding that this position requires the ability to drive the community's bus and any other vehicles Attend required staff meetings and complete all assigned annual trainings May be required to consent for the community to run an MVR report upon request anytime during employment Must immediately report any cited or ticketed driving infractions to the Life Enrichment Director or Executive Director Demonstrates proficiency & essential quality service standards pertaining to enriching resident centered activities and programming; partners with community team in striving for excellent quality care & service delivery Actively participates as a member of a team and committed to working toward team goals This job description represents an overview of the responsibilities for the above referenced position. Education and Experience :
High School Diploma or GED Required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred Two (2) years of dementia related experience within senior living required
Knowledge and Skills:
Exhibit good time management and organization skills Possess the ability to handle complex issues Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills Express compassion for residents, associates, and guests on a consistent basis Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Is willing to work flexible hours Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
