Lifestyles Enrichment Director Job Summary The Lifestyles Enrichment Assistant supports the Lifestyles Enrichment Director in the day-to-day execution of life enrichment programming within the community. This role assists with implementing resident activities and programming to ensure residents' social, emotional, cognitive, and physical engagement needs are met. The assistant helps ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity and are engaged in appropriate activities aligned with their personal service plans. Essential Functions Assists with the implementation of resident-centered programming and scheduled activities in the community under the direction of the Lifestyles Enrichment Director. Supports the Director in preparing, setting up, leading, and documenting planned and spontaneous activities for residents. Assists with monitoring resident participation and engagement and communicates observations, concerns, or changes in condition to the Lifestyles Enrichment Director. Helps carry out individualized activity approaches as outlined in residents' personal service plans. Assists with ongoing observation of residents' physical, cognitive, and social needs and reports findings to the Lifestyles Enrichment Director and Wellness Director as appropriate. Supports dementia-friendly programming and follows established best practices when engaging residents with cognitive impairment. Assists with documentation related to life enrichment activities, attendance, and resident responses as required. Participate in service plan meetings and other meetings related to life enrichment as requested by the Director. Assists with pre-admission tours or screenings related to life enrichment needs, as directed. Helps maintain a safe and engaging environment during activities and events, following community safety protocols. Supports volunteer involvement by assisting with coordination, orientation, and supervision during activities as directed by the Lifestyles Enrichment Director. Collaborates with other departments (Wellness, Dining, Maintenance, and Operations) to support holistic resident care and engagement. Participate in department quality improvement initiatives and training opportunities. Shares on-call or manager-on-duty responsibilities as assigned, when applicable. Performs other duties as assigned by the Lifestyles Enrichment Director or Executive Director. Education and Experience Basic typing skills and working knowledge of personal computing and word processing software are required, preferably in a Microsoft Windows environment. Experience working with seniors or in a life enrichment or activities role is preferred. Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements None required. Physical Demands This position is physically active and involves walking, standing, bending, and assisting residents during activities. Lifting and transferring of residents may occur when appropriate and in accordance with community policies.
Management / Decision
Making Works under the direction of the Lifestyles Enrichment Director. Applies established procedures and guidelines to carry out assigned tasks and reports concerning or unusual situations to leadership. Use sound judgment in day-to-day resident interactions.
