This vital role involves creating engaging, meaningful activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. The Lifestyles Coordinator will serve as a key advocate for residents, ensuring their interests and preferences are at the forefront of all programming. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and facilitate a diverse range of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including memory care and dementia-specific programs Coordinate special events, outings, and community engagement initiatives that foster social connections and enrich residents' daily lives Collaborate with nursing staff, caregivers, and family members to develop personalized activity plans that support individual needs and preferences Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as mobility, grooming, and other personal care tasks as needed during programming sessions Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure consistent delivery of programs while accommodating residents' health status and scheduling constraints Provide counseling and support related to aging issues, cognitive decline, or disabilities through engaging therapeutic activities Maintain detailed records of resident participation, progress notes, and activity outcomes to monitor effectiveness and inform care planning Qualifications Proven experience in event planning within assisted living or nursing home settings; experience in memory care or Alzheimer's/dementia care is highly desirable Strong background in senior care, recreational therapy, or working with individuals with disabilities; long-term care or home & community care experience is preferred Excellent communication skills to effectively engage residents, families, and team members Knowledge of caregiving practices related to assisting with ADLs and managing schedules for multiple residents Familiarity with aging issues counseling and social work principles to support residents' emotional well-being Ability to work independently while collaborating seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life through meaningful activities Join us in creating vibrant communities where seniors thrive!
