Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Aide to enhance the quality of life for residents at our skilled nursing facility. The preferred candidate will have experience working with the elderly with a genuine passion for engaging and supporting older adults. As an Activity Aide, you will develop and implement meaningful activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being, fostering a vibrant and inclusive environment for residents. Duties Plan, coordinate, and facilitate engaging activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including social events andrecreational outings. Build strong rapport with residents through attentive communication and personalized engagement strategies. Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to ensure activities align with individual care plans. Manage schedules for resident events and recreational programs to ensure smooth execution and maximum participation. Maintain detailed records of resident participation and activity outcomes to support care documentation. Support the development of new programs that enhance residents' quality of life, incorporating elements of assisted living, geriatrics, and community integration. Foster a positive environment by encouraging social interaction among residents while respecting individual preferences and limitations. Skills An understanding of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, memory care strategies, and aging issues counseling. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members. Ability to develop innovative programs that meet resident needs while promoting socialization and mental stimulation.
