Job Description
Youth Arts Program Coordinator (Part-Time) This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with youth, is reliable, organized, comfortable working independently, and brings a positive, flexible attitude. Compensation is $18-$20 per hour and is paid as an independent contractor position. Duties vary and rotate depending on the season and program needs. Education Outreach in Schools Teach simple, pre-designed art classes to elementary students Coordinate class schedules with schools and travel to multiple sites Prepare projects and organize materials in advance Juvenile Detention Center Programs Lead art classes at Southwest Idaho Juvenile Detention Center Prepare projects and organize materials in advance Encourage and support student participation Community Engagement Represent the organization at community events Lead simple, hands-on art activities (e.g., rock painting) Set up and take down booth Share program information with the public Performing Arts Support Provide support with catering and box office at performing arts events Marketing, social media, or performing arts experience is helpful but not required Additional Details Curriculum and instructions are provided No formal art experience required—creativity and positivity encouraged Flexible schedule based on school and community needs Requirements Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the U.S. Background check required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Flexible availability (may include evenings/weekends) Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
