A little more about our center: Crestwood Terrace is an Intermediate Care Facility, providing care to the mentally ill/behavior health population (ages 21 and up). Located in a quiet neighborhood, we are one of 3 medical centers on our street.

What you will do in this role : When you are a patient, games and entertainment can be the highlight of your day. As an Activity / Activities Director you will design a curriculum to keep our short-term residents interested & engaged in their recovery and rehab. For our long-term residents, you will create life enrichment events, often focused on cognitive and memory retention. This could involve leading exercise groups, managing a team of Aides, and above all, making this a stimulating environment for all. Every day can be a little more fun than the next. Activities Director:

Officially we title this job an Activities Director, but in other centers it may be called a Life Enrichment Coordinator. What we need from you : Certified Activity Director (the 36-hour certification course for the state of IL) Prior experience in a healthcare setting as an Activity Director is preferred Extensive involvement with leading a dynamic team, creating an engaging events calendar and managing the individual needs of long-term care patients that address their physical, cognitive and social deficits Electronic medical records experience (Point Click Care) If you are looking for an opportunity that provides satisfaction and personal growth, we encourage you to apply.
