You will plan, schedule and implement an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the physical, mental and psychosocial needs of each resident. Plan group and individual activities designed to restore self-care and well-being and geared to the individual's needs and interest. Prepare facility activity calendar. Organize, schedule and supervise activities according to the interests expressed by residents. Establish and maintain community involvement and create a home-like atmosphere for residents. Transport or oversee the transportation of residents to outside activities. Establish and encourage an atmosphere of optimism, warmth and interest in residents' activity preferences and needs. Requirements High school diploma or GED required Completed training course approved by state of employment and obtain certification. Activities experience in a nursing facility a plus.
