Bring fun to every day. Valhalla Post Acute is looking for a creative, energetic, and compassionate Therapeutic Recreation Manager to lead our resident activities program. This is an opportunity to create meaningful experiences, build genuine relationships with our residents, and bring your ideas to life in a fun and rewarding environment. What You'll Do Plan and oversee a creative, engaging monthly activities program. Develop activities that promote residents' physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being. Plan unique events, themed activities, outings, entertainment, celebrations, and individualized activities. Build meaningful relationships with residents and incorporate their interests, hobbies, and preferences into programming. Lead, schedule, and support the activities team. Complete required activity assessments, care plans, and documentation. Collaborate with nursing, social services, therapy, dietary, and other departments to support resident quality of life. Ensure the activities program meets applicable regulations and facility standards. Qualifications & Experience Degree or certification in Therapeutic Recreation or Gerontology is preferred but not required Previous work experience preferably in long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, or memory care. Experience planning and leading recreational, social, or therapeutic activities. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Creative, energetic, dependable, and comfortable working with residents with varying cognitive and physical abilities. Previous supervisory or management experience. Experience working with residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is a plus. Why Valhalla? $64,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
