Liberty Cares With Compassion Liberty Senior Living is currently seeking an experienced:
ACTIVITY DIRECTOR
Job Description:
Plans, promotes, and leads individual and group activities based on needs and interests of the residents. Informs new patients and families about the Activity Program of the Facility and unit. Completes an Activities Assessment on each designated resident according to documentation policies and procedures. Conducts recreational activities, both indoor and outdoor. Conducts educational, creative, expressive activities and exercise. Supervises scheduling and posting of all events and programs in a manner to encourage participation and enthusiasm among residents. Supervises Volunteer Program, responsible for all aspects of training and placing volunteers.
Job Requirements:
Must be a high school graduate. Must be an individual eligible for the state Certification as a recreation therapist or assistant therapist or someone who has completed a State approved course in activities program management where required. Must be willing to work and cooperate well with other employees. Must be able to problem-solve. Must be able to work well under pressure. Must be willing to perform various jobs. Must care for equipment used. Must use supplies economically. Will have prior authorization from Department Director before making purchases. Demonstrates neat appearance and good personal hygiene. Wears appropriate attire in keeping with Community dress code. Must read, know and follow personnel, department and Community policy. Runs errands as necessary. Must on occasion assist with transporting resident to doctor appointments. (This could be driving van or riding with and staying with resident). Must have a valid state Driver s License.
