Position Type:
Full-Time Marguerite's House, a proud member of Mary Immaculate Health/Care Services, is seeking an innovative, energetic, and compassionate Activity Director to lead our life enrichment programming. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a diverse range of activities provided by and for the residents and tenants who attend Marguerite's Café. Your primary goal will be to ensure that an ongoing program of activities is uniquely designed to meet the personal interests as well as the physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each resident. At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position. Responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing activities provided by and for resident/tenants who attend Marguerite's Cafe in accordance with policies and procedures, current federal, state and local standards, and guidelines and regulations governing our facility to ensure that an on-going program of activities is designed to meet the interests and the physical, mental and psychological well-being of each resident.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
One to two years of experience in planning, organizing and directing enrichment activities with the elderly population in a community setting. Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist; or holds a certified Activities professional certificate; or is a Registered Occupational Therapist preferred. Must be comfortable working with an interdisciplinary wellness team approach. Must be comfortable working with a geriatric population.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, organize and implement activities provided for Residents who attend Marguerite's Café. Work collaboratively with Wellness team /Activities staff to identify resident/tenants who would benefit from the smaller group setting of Marguerite's Cafe. Obtain supplies by coordinating with activity department and at Director's discretion as needed for activity program. Develop a stimulating, client specific program of socialization, cognitive stimulation and structure for up to 15 participants. Abide by Standards of Conduct which is the basis for the Organizational Integrity Program Comply with Health Information Privacy (HIPPA) related laws and regulations. Other related duties as assigned

Pay:
$22.50 - $31.00 per hour
