School Age Group Leader South Shore Stars Inc - 4.6 Quincy, MA Job Details $18.69 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Preventative classroom management High school diploma or GED Working with students Working with youth Full Job Description As a member of the Center team, help develop and maintain a safe, nurturing, creative, fun, developmentally appropriate program. This is a forty-four-week school year position. Essential Responsibilities Work with the Center Director/Assistant Director to develop and implement program goals and objectives. Develop strong, positive relationships with each child. Work with the Center Director/Assistant Director to develop age-appropriate activities and implement both individual and group activities, special projects and field trips. Work with the Center Director/Assistant Director to establish and maintain behavioral limits and classroom order. With guidance from the Center Director, communicate with parents about children's daily needs, interests, progress and concerns, referring parent concerns to the Center Director/Assistant Director. Assist with keeping the center clean and organized. Drive Center van to transport children, fulfilling responsibilities as outlined in the Stars Van Driver Responsibilities and Procedures if able to obtain 7D license. Assist with menu planning and food preparation and purchase. Assist with record keeping. Attending and participating in staff and team meetings and appropriate trainings. Develop and follow through with annual evaluation goals and training plan. All other assigned tasks Qualifications Meet DEEC qualifications for School Age Group Leader. High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience working with children in a formal setting. Willingness and ability to obtain MA 7D Driving License. Willing to work a flexible schedule including full days during school vacations. Ability to set clear expectations and limits for children. High energy, warm and nurturing personality. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
