Do you love making people smile? At Auburn Heights Senior Care, we believe our residents deserve more than good care—they deserve good days . We're looking for a warm, energetic, creative Activities Coordinator who enjoys connecting with people and creating experiences that give our residents something to look forward to. This isn't a desk job where you simply put together a calendar. You'll be the person organizing the birthday celebration, leading the game everyone gets competitive about, putting on the music that gets residents singing, helping someone with a craft, planning holiday events, encouraging residents to participate, and sometimes simply sitting down with a resident who needs a little company. If you're naturally social, creative, dependable, and genuinely enjoy older adults, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do You'll take ownership of our activities and help create a fun, welcoming environment for our residents. Create Activities People Actually Want to Attend Plan and lead daily activities for individuals, small groups, and larger groups Create a monthly activities calendar Offer a variety of activities including games, crafts, music, exercise, educational activities, social events, and other programs Provide meaningful one-on-one engagement for residents who prefer individual activities Adapt activities to residents' interests, abilities, and needs Make Special Occasions Special Plan birthday celebrations, holiday events, parties, and special programs Coordinate decorations and community displays Set up, run, and clean up after events Help create memorable experiences for residents and their families Build Relationships Get to know our residents—their personalities, interests, stories, and preferences Encourage residents to participate while respecting their individual choices Provide companionship, encouragement, and emotional support Interact with residents, families, visitors, volunteers, and staff with warmth and professionalism Help Tell Our Story Coordinate with the Administrator and Manager on social media content Help capture the fun and positive moments happening at Auburn Heights Maintain bulletin boards and activity displays Be Part of the Team This is a hands-on position.
