Brighton Center Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Day Treatment Unit Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for someone who demonstrates strong enthusiasm and is passionate about helping individuals build independence and achieve meaningful goals. The primary focus of this position is supporting the Activity Unit , including facilitating in-house recreational activities and assisting with community outings planned by the Activity Unit Lead (Recreational Therapist). What You'll Do Collaborate with the Unit Lead to support daily operations, ensuring strong client engagement and progress toward individualized goals. Facilitate activities that promote independence and skill development, including: Vocational and job-readiness skills Social and recreational activities designed to improve communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Community integration activities that promote confidence, relationship building, and meaningful participation Wellness and movement-based activities that support physical health, endurance, mobility, and overall well-being Group activities that foster emotional wellness, self-esteem, leisure exploration, and quality of lifeSupport and encourage peer mentorship and leadership opportunities among participants. Complete required daily documentation, including progress notes (POTs), and contributing care conference reports. Provide support to individuals who may demonstrate challenging behaviors, utilizing trained behavioral strategies and techniques. Maintain productivity and quality standards within the unit, including working alongside clients to complete assigned tasks.

Required:

High School Diploma. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record per company standards. Successful completion of required training, including CPR and First Aid.

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in a Human Health Service field. Experience working with individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI), neurological disorders, or psychiatric disorders.
