General Purpose The Activities Director / Community Life Director is responsible for providing overall leadership and management for the Activities and Recreation operations including developing and leading a successful, engaging resident centered activity and volunteer program for the whole full service Senior Living community. Working with a highly engaged staff Healthy staffing levels Flexible scheduling Career growth Competitive compensation Qualifications College degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Gerontology, Social Work, Adult Education, Marketing, Public Relations with two (2) years of experience OR Certified Activity Professional and (3-5) years experience preferably in assisted living, long term care or experience with seniors Two (2) years supervisory/management experience including hiring staff, coaching, performance management daily operations supervision, discipline and counseling Ability to handle multiple priorities Ability to lead, motivate team members and volunteers for their involvement in the social events and various activities Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles and interests
