Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Social Life Leader to enhance the quality of life for residents in our senior living community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in event planning, recreational therapy, and senior care, with a focus on fostering social engagement and building meaningful resident rapport. As a Social Life Leader, you will develop and coordinate engaging programs and activities tailored to residents' interests and needs, promoting mental, emotional, and social well-being. Duties Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of social, recreational, and therapeutic activities that promote resident engagement and community involvement. Coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, and themed activities to foster social interaction. Develop personalized activity plans that address individual interests, cognitive abilities, and mobility levels. Build strong relationships with residents to understand their preferences and needs, ensuring inclusive participation. Collaborate with caregiving staff, nursing teams, and family members to support residents' emotional and social well-being. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity feedback to inform program improvements. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for scheduling, reporting, and communication purposes to streamline program management. Stay informed about best practices in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, geriatrics, and memory care to ensure activities are appropriate and beneficial. Experience Proven experience in event planning within senior living facilities or assisted living environments. Prior work experience in assisted living or nursing home settings with a focus on senior care or long-term care. Knowledge of recreational therapy techniques tailored for geriatric patients with memory impairments or disabilities. Familiarity with dementia care principles, Alzheimer's disease management, and aging issues counseling. Strong communication skills for engaging residents effectively and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs in a caregiving or social work capacity is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for program documentation and resident communication management. Demonstrated ability to develop programs that foster community spirit while respecting individual preferences and limitations.
