A Recreational Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving movement, sports, games, and other activities for brain stimulation. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

If so, we want to meet you! We're looking for an energetic, compassionate, and creative PRN Recreation Therapist to join our team. In this role, you'll help patients discover the therapeutic power of recreation, leisure, and meaningful experiences while supporting their overall well-being and recovery. What You'll Do Plan and facilitate therapeutic recreation activities Lead creative groups such as art, music, games, wellness, and leisure education Encourage participation and build positive relationships with patients Document patient progress and contribute to treatment goals Help create a fun, engaging, and supportive environment where individuals can thrive What We're Looking For Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Recreation Therapy or in a Creative Art Therapy field (i.e., Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Recreation Therapy, Dance Therapy or Psychodrama); or a major in a related therapeutic discipline, creative arts discipline, or occupational therapy. Master's degree, preferred.
