- Part-time, Full-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team.
The Activities Assistant will work closely with residents, families, and staff to ensure that all activities are tailored to meet the diverse interests and abilities of our residents. Join our caring team and help us provide a quality lifestyle for our residents. Responsibilities include planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating all activity programs to ensure that they are meeting individual needs of the residents in an assisted living setting. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that promotes physical, social, emotional, and cognitive well-being. Plan and coordinate events that cater to the interests of residents, including arts and crafts, games, music therapy, and recreational outings. Assess residents' needs and preferences to create personalized activity plans that align with their abilities and interests. Foster a welcoming environment that encourages resident engagement and social interaction. Communicate effectively with families regarding activity schedules and resident participation. Qualifications Previous experience in an Activities role or similar position within a Long Term Care or home community care setting is preferred. Strong schedule management skills to effectively plan and execute a variety of activities. Excellent event planning skills with the ability to create engaging programs tailored to the needs of aging individuals. Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in improving the lives of seniors through meaningful activities.
