Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Director to lead engaging and meaningful programs for residents in a senior living or assisted living community. In this vital role, you will design, coordinate, and implement a diverse range of recreational activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, physical wellness, and overall quality of life. Your enthusiasm and creativity will foster a vibrant community atmosphere where residents feel valued, connected, and empowered. Duties Develop and execute innovative activity programs tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and health needs Coordinate resident events such as social gatherings, outings, celebrations, and therapeutic activities that encourage participation and community bonding Build strong rapport with residents through personalized engagement and attentive communication Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed during activities to ensure safety and comfort Assist with Front Desk Duties such as answering calls, taking messages and answering the front door Manage scheduling of activities and maintain detailed records of participation and resident feedback Collaborate with nursing staff, resident assistants, family members, and community partners to enhance program offerings and address individual resident needs Qualifications Proven experience in event planning within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or senior care environments Strong background in recreational therapy, caregiving, or working with seniors with disabilities or memory care needs Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, geriatrics, and long-term care practices Excellent communication skills to effectively connect with residents, families, and team members Proficiency in scheduling, documentation, and program development purposes Demonstrated leadership skills in team coordination and program management Knowledge of home & community care services and experience working with geriatric patients preferred Ability to handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment Join us as an Activities Director to inspire joy and foster meaningful connections within our vibrant senior community!
Pay:
$29,000.00 - $32,000.00 per year
