The primary purpose of this position is to work under the direction of a RN in implementing plan of care for the residents, being responsible for the Restorative Program. This position acts as a liaison between formalized therapy and nursing to promote restorative nursing philosophy among all facility departments. What you'll do: Provide direction and leadership through delegation of assignments to Restorative team Partner with the qualified therapists to ensure specific Restorative Program recommendations are followed through when a resident is discharged from skilled therapy Participates in identification of residents with restorative needs, collaborates with the care planning team and therapy team to establish goals and interventions to meet the residents' restorative needs Participate in the supervision of care provided to residents by RNs/CNAs including preventative measure for skin integrity Participate in Rehab/Restorative meetings to discuss each resident's restorative program from progress or lack thereof and make changes as needed Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor What you'll need: 1 year minimum experience as an LPN in long term care setting preferred Must have unencumbered nursing license Ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices Compensation is based on background and experience, and includes our comprehensive benefits package Still curious about what Givens is all about?
